Las Palmas captain Kyrian Rodriguez has revealed his cancer has returned and he will be out of action indefinitely while he undergoes treatment.

The 28-year-old midfielder previously missed most of the 2022-23 season after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
He spent 11 months out of action at the time, returning to action for Las Palmas in April 2023, helping the club secure promotion to La Liga.

Rodriguez is still hopeful he will be able to play again next season and believes Las Palmas can survive in the Spanish top flight. Las Palmas
currently sit 15th in La Liga after 22 games, two points above the relegation zone.
Rodriguez has made 22 appearances for the club in La Liga this season. Last season, he scored six goals in 37 league games
