Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has seen the shadow of team-mate Patrick Vieira in Ryan Gravenberch and has named the former club midfielder as a contender for the Player of the Year award.

Gravenberch was in central midfield on Thursday night as the Reds hammered Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 on their way to the Carabao Cup final. The
23-year-old Dutchman had started every one of Arne Slot’s first 23 Premier League games as the club topped the table and has started seven of their eight Champions League games.
“The biggest compliment I can give is that Gravenberch is in contention for the Player of the Year award,” Carragher said after watching his compatriot in action. “Gravenberch
reminds me of Patrick Vieira, with his long legs and his movement in midfield. He’s really shined this season.”
Fellow former Liverpool man Jamie Redknapp added: “Liverpool have been brilliant. The result could have been the opposite if they had signed Zubimendi then. “
This season, Gravenberch has become a really good midfielder. สมัครสมาชิก UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีทุกวัน. His turning has become his trademark. He’s full of energy, can run around and do everything on the pitch. “
If he was still playing, I would hate to be competing against him. Gravenberch makes runs past opponents with ease. The manager deserves credit, he believes in his players and makes this position at Liverpool look a lot better.”
